I am bipolar and for me even a low dose caused too much activation and "mixed states" this past fall. I felt so much better when I stopped, and I started having a lot of "anti-medication"-related thoughts as a result. But now I'm more "anti-ad" and am taking trileptal which has helped some. --Oliver
Adding Abilify and Lamictal might help. It is worth looking into. I believe both drugs give dopamine a boost, but the risk of mania is reduced compared to taking a more traditional antidepressant.
