It's not possible to know ahead of time whether one drug will work better than the other, but why wouldn't you want Invega Sustenna? It's a monthly shot, so you don't feel awful for three days if you're off a couple of hours one day. That's what I do. It's Risperdal's younger sister, a metabolite of Risperdal.
Also, drugs ending in -pine, like Seroquel's generic name, are far more likely to cause a craving for sugary foods and also cause a higher risk of type II diabeties. That's why docs who know what they're doing like to switch patients to Risperdal or Invega.
I frankly have no idea why anyone wouldn't want a monthly shot instead of being one forgotten dose off from being on the verge of insanity, or mania, or whatever you're taking it for. Not worth the risk or the lack of peace of mind.
