i just left his office, and he prescribed ketamine. he costs like 3 times as much as my past psychiatrist for appointments, but he has a much better way about doing things. he is still telling me i am irrational for thinking I've had longterm/permanent effects from past meds, just like other psychiatrists have said... but hopefully we can still work well together so that i can get to feeling better.
now, with the ketamine.. i haven't filled it yet. it might very well help me.. but I'm nervous. i read a bit about it maybe being a dopamine partial agonist, or working very lightly to stimulate dopamine receptors. this part might be bad for me considering my chronic dopamine agonist withdrawal. i am considering taking a moderately high dose of seroquel with it. i'm not sure yet though. I'm on public internet service right now (Best Buy) and I'm going to read more in to it.
