Scott,
My depression is pretty bad to me. I really like how nortriptyline felt to me and made me feel. May go back to that.
I believe the withdrawls of paxil set me up for where I am today. I went on it for head pressure, not depression. I probably would have taken anything to rid myself of that feeling. It was probably anxiety related. I've always been somewhat of an anxious person deep down.
Going through paxil withdrawls affected me more mentally than anything. I was negative, irritable, miserable, unhappy with everything, etc. It changed who I was. After giving up and going back on, I tried to regain my previous self but have been chasing her ever since.
That's why I say paxil withdrawls changed me. So now you know why I'm so freaked out by withdrawl. I haven't had any problems with withdrawing from Savella, Lamictal, Wellbutrin, Zoloft, Celexa, Prozac, and I might have missed another SSRI.
That's where I am. Negative thoughts, unable to feel much happiness at all, no interest in sex, etc. which affects my marriage considerably. I also have back muscle pain/spasm crap going on and can't seem to get rid of it. It's pretty intense.
Anyway, you asked. I don't know what to do except try Nort. again and deal with the weight gain or try something like effexor, cymbalta or pristiq and go forward and not think about a withdrawl.
Thanks Scott -
Laney
