Tramadol acts like an SNRI, which gives it much of its antidepressant effect. It is a weak opioid agonist and its not the withdrawal from the opiate side of things that is causing you problems, the problem is you're going thru the similar side effects you would go through with an antidepressant. Bendydryl can help, but a smarter route would be to take low dose Prozac to wean yourself off the Tramadol.
