So if we ask 10 different people what they think of your current meds and where to go from here we will get 10 different answers.
Here's mine.
Dump the strattera and add ritalin instead. You can increase the dose of both prozac and ritalin higher than normally prescribed. The miracle stories I have heard about did exactly that.
Add Rhodiola to prozac, drop the others carefully in a long slow weaning in tiny steps (a couple to 3 months).
I don't care for the wellbutrin thing. Sorry, I just don't see it working miracles very often. When it does, it does. Just not often enough for it to be praised as an antidepressant. Other countries won't even market it as an antidepressant because it didn't work that way in their trials....it did however pass the test for anti-smoking, which is what they approved it for.
And of course, if anyone knows me and how I think, it is at this point in your journey it becomes a MUST, not an option, to expand the horizons of knowledge and dive into the things I usually talk about....food choices, toxins, microbials, blind challenge testing, adrenals.
The one thing I don't see in your meds or your history is any attention to the opioid circuitry. Your meds seem to be based on an assumption your problems are related to serotonin, norepinephrine, or dopamine. That assumption carries over to the meds you have on your radar screen. Well, what if they aren't? To this point, it doesn't appear they are. Could be wrong, but we don't yet see any evidence that tweeking those is helping you much. That means look at other stuff that can equally cause profound symptoms just as much as the commonly thought of things do.
I like the prozac and zyperxa, but reality says they aren't doing it for you. Reality also says whatever is wrong is happening somewhere else that those meds aren't touching. Where might that be? I don't see it as the places your radar screen meds will touch either, which are all basically in the same ballpark as where you are now.
Anyway, that's my input and it will probably differ from what someone else says. I just want people to know there is a way to get off the psych med merrigoround torture chamber ride and actually improve by keeping them to a minimum and putting attention in other places that can really make a difference.
> Prozac 60mg -not working
> Srattera 80mg - definetly not working
> Zyprexa 20mg - lost its effect
> Clonodine .1mg X 3 - has no effect
