Taking meds with coffee or soda vs. w/ water

OK, I acknowledge I'm neurotic. :-)

Would there be any detriment to taking Nardil (or meds in general) with coffee or soda (acids) vs. with plain water? I wish I'd taken more chemistry when I was in school...
