First of all, there are too many people on Psycho-Babble to keep track of, especially for those individuals, like me, who have memory impairments as a feature of their illness. Second of all, I have tried to impress upon you that Abilify can prevent other antipsychotics from working. I would consider swapping out the Abilify for either Risperdal or Invega and keep your dosage of Seroquel the same.

Because you have responded to it partially in the past. See, I remember. Furthermore, I have personally witnessed this principle operate with a female friend of mine.

Oh, yeah. I forgot. I had this conversation with one of my doctors. He agreed with me that a theoretical basis for this phenomenon is that Abilify is a D2 and D3 partial agonist. It acts to block or buffer the D2 antagonist activity of other antipsychotics. He has seen this happen in his practice. However, as one would expect, this is not a consistent finding. Another consideration is that the D2 binding affinity for Abilify is much higher than that of Seroquel. Seroquel is outcompeted by Abilify for receptor sites.

I dream of things that never were and ask why not.
