Hello,
I am still continuing to take Nardil, now back down to 60mg for awhile. I have 2 questions for fellow Nardil users out there. 1. I definitely think that my symptoms showed improvement while on 75mgs, but the side effects including insomnia (i couldn't find any help from sleep aids) and orthostatic hypostension (regularly a bp drop to the 80's systolic from maybe a little over 100) forced me to go back down to 60mgs and maybe regroup for a bit. I was thinking of trying an EXTREMELY slow taper back up in a few weeks, maybe even as slow as 1/4 of a pill ever couple weeks or so. I was also thinking that maybe 67.5mgs might be a better dose for me to optimize symptom improvement while minimizing side effects. I am still shocked by the fact that Nardil has hit me at this dose, as I am one that never responds to anything until higher dosages and I am a bit discouraged that I can't at least test how 90mgs might do. What do you think?
Also, I have noticed a low grade chest pain from the time I first started taking Nardil at 45mgs. Luckily, it doesn't seem to get worse with an increase in dose, but it also has not gone away. I have never mentioned it before because I keep thinking it will leave and no one really mentions it as a common side effect. It comes and goes during the day, and is definitely not related to anything I eat. I actually went out bowling with some friends last night without too much trouble, but I still noticed this chest pain which was a bit disheartening. Anybody have a similar issue or suggestion? I am currently trying to also go off of my ativan. Do you think that Nardil might react with Ativan in some way to cause this low grade chest pain?
Thanks,
Mantus
