I'm not sure about the pharmacodynamics of pregaba/gabapentin, and why these two compounds affect me so strongly.
We're all so different, maybe this is idiosyncratically similar to the rush that many people report experiencing with benzos, which, thankfully, I've never personally felt.
All I know is that I need to steer clear from Lyrica and Neurontin as they provide a temporary and completely artificial respite from my depression and anxiety. I'm talking about a buzzed/high feeling, not lasting relief - akin to alcohol, which I also avoid.
Having said all that, Linkadge, are you interested in trying Lyrica for GAD? It might just help. My advice would be to start low and gauge your response slowly - in typical pharma fashion, I think that the recommended dosing is far too high (600mg Lyrica had me high as a kite for two days).
