Topamax As An Adjunct To An AD

Posted by bulldog2 on September 28, 2010, at 15:34:16

It seems that posts on topamax come and go. One of the few meds that does not cause weight gain. Apparently there is finally a study that shows it has properties as an add on to a bipolar med for mood stabilization.

It seems to work strongly on gaba and yet is activating. I tried it for a few days and found it to strong and discontinued it. Is there any evidence that topamax is a good adjunct to bump ad properties of another med? Would be nice to have a mood stabilizer that doesn't make you fat and feel flat.
