very low dose mirtazapine

Posted by MoBe on July 19, 2010, at 15:15:53

I've noticed that very low dose doxepin has come out for insomnia under the name Silenor. I've already tried generic 5 mg dose of
Doxepin and noticed it didn't give as good a sleep as Mirtazapine. Silenor's big selling point is the lack of side effects such as weight gain and dry mouth. I wondered if I took the dose of Mirtazapine down to 1-2 mg if I would get the same lack of side effects as well as better sleep. Has anyone out there ever tried 1-2 mg Mirtazapine and what were your results?
