In reply to Nardil Afternoon Tiredness...ahhh!, posted by angels78 on May 4, 2010, at 19:26:52
Mmmm toughie. Like atypical I've found that it is diminishing but I did have it for about 6 months. It's pretty embarrassing to wake up at work because you're PC is beeping crazily because you fell asleep holding the 'z' key down... And then doing it again 5 mins later...
Caffeine doesn't do jack for me, no matter how much I cane it. I'm trying Provigil 200mg now but mainly for playing sport, as an experiment.
I'd say: Try caffeine, try and get a stim off your doc or just deal with it as best as and wait a few months for it to fade. For example, when I was about to drop off at work, I'd go sit on the trap (toilet) and take a nap. I'd set my iPhone alarm to wake me up. Not the most pleasant of places to nap but more professional than falling asleep on your keyboard.
It goes without saying: this is just my opinion, I'm not a doc, YMMV.
