I'm not sure I understand what you mean by orientation.
But yeah, persistent boredom and anhedonia is actually quite painful. "Painfully bored", "bored to death", and "so bored I could scratch my eyes out" are phrases for a reason. :/ Now imagine having that feeling for 16 hours a day, every day...for two years...that never goes away...no matter WHAT you do...
Anhedonia at its worst.
