Terrence Ketter and his colleagues at the NIH played with nimodipine for awhile in the 1990s. I followed one person whom they treated with it for over a year without success. Verapamil is another CCB drug that has been used in mood disorders. I recall seeing a few people respond to it. I would defer to Dr. Ketter regarding the use of nimodipine. I imagine he has seen it work often enough for him to recommend it. You need to be careful that adding nimodipine to Parnate doesn't reduce your blood pressure too much.
