I took Maalox(liquid form) for the past days and got a good relief not to get a terrible heart-burn, but I also noticed Anti-Acid, 'Maalox' also seems killing effectiveness of BP meds. I'm easily getting angry even a slight incident that I never experienced prior to taking Maalox. Then, I suspect Anti-Acid, Maalox making me a depressive side of my BP worse.

>Hi,
a possible cause is that maalox prevents one or several of your meds to be absorbed correctly, and hence the amount that enters your bloodstream is reduced. There are 'better' antacids like Zantac (ranitidine) and Pepcid (famotidine) or a low dose of Nexium (esomeprazole). Ask your pdoc about it.
Good luck.
