I think it is important to get a better idea as to whether or not bipolarity is involved. The prevailing sentiment has been that tricyclics is the group of antidepressants that is most likely to cause a switch into, or exacerbate, mania. These drugs can also precipitate rapid cycling.
After not sleeping for a few days, how is your energy level? Do you feel that you are drawn to starting too many projects at once and not be able to finish any one of them? How is your sex drive?
