In reply to Feelings of Grandiosity to replace irrelevency, posted by rjlockhart04-08 on December 2, 2009, at 22:17:50
There are lots of people who are grandiose but who are not bipolar. However, if one oscillates frequently between feelings of irrelevancy to those of grandiosity, bipolar disorder should be considered as a potential cause. I imaging that such a thing could also be psychogenic in origin. It takes a great deal of insight to recognize the possibility of extant bipolar disorder and seek treatment for it. When I experienced drug-induced mania, I did not recognize it for what it was, and I was hostile to anyone who suggested that I was manic.
As far as you are concerned, I don't know what's going on. Maybe someone else does.
