Parnate is an irreversible MAOI, which means the neurotransmitters it effects stay high until your brain starts producing MAO again, about two weeks after you stop. So you wouldn't expect withdrawal effects after a day. You said you were hypersensitive to side-effects, so maybe you are anxious and hypersensitive to withdrawal effects.

You asked earlier about hospitalization. I've been hospitalized several times for suicidal depression and always found the docs very sensitive to what I wanted and didn't want to do in terms of meds. They won't force you to take something you don't want unless you're delusional and refuse all meds.

But staying in the hospital for the entire washout period and then until nardil starts working may be a problem. In the states, insurance companies won't pay for such a long hospitalization unless you're a danger to yourself. But you say you're not from the states, so it might be different in your country.

> today was the first take i didn't take any parnate (tapered down from 40mg, dropping 10mg every 3 days). i feel this weird tingling senstation throughout my whole body. it doesn't hurt, but isn't exactly pleasant either. sound normal? anything to worry about?
