Hi.

There are two L-type calcium channel blockers that have been used to treat bipolar disorder. They are verapamil and nimodipine. They do help some people, but not many.

I think there is far less chance of you having negative mental effects from CCBs than with clonidine. Clonidine is well known to be depressogenic in a great many people.
