I only dabbled with it in tiny doses. All I can say is that within 3 days after a single 5mg dose I was feeling a surprising difference. I failed ECT just for reference. With my Lyme disease and neurological damage, some strange side effects hit and it did not appear wise to keep going with it Parnate.

A second challenge a few weeks later was the same as the first. The effects of a single dose were already making a difference by day 3.

The kind of plain yogurt I eat is very potent, it's called Erivan. I just read that the concerns for foods like yogurt have nearly disappeared in recent years.

SLS is a regular poster here and says he eats yogurt everyday with his MAOI. I don't know about your brand. I think the main concern with MAOIs is fermented foods. I don't think yogurt falls into that category.

Zoloft might be conservative by itself, but in the experience of some doctors it is the best of the SSRIs. Combined with Nortriptyline, you turn a conservative strategy into a high potential strategy. Dr Gillman at psychotropical.com says, not quite word for word, but basically this..."Zoloft+Nortriptyline has been most rewarding in my practice." In over 1000 patients. The meds he speaks highly of that shown him great value in his practice are...Parnate, Clomipramine, Zoloft+Nortriptyline(or Desipramine), sometimes Amitriptyline. To learn more about the Parnate you are considering, as well as other options, check out that website. He has a section on Notes that has all kinds of interesting topics.
