Sometimes we tend to forget there are states like mine where docs, most might work in a single building, and believe it or not you literaly cant find one willing, remember new docs generaly put you on the bottom of the barrel list, one new doc dident even allow for cancelation squeaze ins before first face to face was done. The docs in my area are close knitt, and only the ones dug in deep who stand alone will work with a maoi.

I understand the severity of selfmedicating, however and this is just a personal view,i seperate selfmedicating when the patient in question is using info from reputable online sources as well as and lets remember we can do this, the company itself, over getting caught in webs ive been in where your first initial appt is six weeks in.

Now am i advocating self medication,id hope not, someone who does anything whether from a post on the net or elsewhere does so with their own responsability.Imagine if every thing you said you had to hold liable it dident set off some ideas in someones head, its a terrable idea but shouldent scare us from speaking our minds, people need to take account for where they get their info,in this case a message board with no from my understanding actual md`s but rather inidviduals as myself.

I like to think i can speak of a bad parnate choice i made without adding "this was just me and im not advocating it" but i dont usualy, and thats for the very reason someone might feel i in some way put forth the idea,i dunno its a very hard topic to weigh in on,i just know for myself,as ive said my depression is a war,and ive long since decedied that as in a war things can be ugly, more importantly as in a war there will be times where ill have to make decisions that arent perhaps the smartest i can make but when the enemy isnt playing fair for me thats my green light to hold back no blows.

I do however respect every persons right either way,and still do try to post as saftly as i can.

I cannot emphasize this enough. Make sure your PDOC will prescribe the essentials should you need them ie augments, etc. Make sure he/she hasn't a problem with high doses if needed. Then follow their lead. Mine took me up to 80 mg Parnate and 60 mg Ritalin. I'm a sad case. Most won't need that much. But there was a lot of monitoring of my BP, etc. before all was said and done. The fact is, I doubled my remission rate when I met with my new PDoc. 100% remission. Why experiment when you can safely have that?
