In reply to Greenstone or Mylan for Sertraline (Zoloft)?, posted by Sanguine on March 4, 2009, at 10:25:27
There are multiple companies beyond those as generic AA and AB for Zoloft. One can always query the Orange Book:
e.g. by its chemical name
http://www.fda.gov/cder/ob/docs/queryai.htm
or by the brand name
http://www.fda.gov/cder/ob/docs/querytn.htm
Admittedly this doesn't tell you what is "better", but as far as Greenstone, yes, its true that it has been a subsidiary of Pfizer for a while. Does that mean it comes out of the same production line -- probably not, but who knows.
A lookup of Zoloft equivalents notes more than half a dozen companies.
