Lamictal and Nutritional Deficiencies

Posted by F00TBALL on January 27, 2009, at 22:23:45

I'm a college student who began taking Lamictal in the summer.
Side-effects involving memory and concentration resulted in me getting off it in early November. The problems continued, however.

I'm having severe concentration/focus and short-term memory problems. I have extreme difficulty reading, and have to reread lines multiple times to begin to comprehend the text. Basically, I just feel like my brain and my mental processes are running at half speed.

Has anyone here experienced what I'm going through after taking Lamictal?
Does anyone have any information about vitamin/nutritional deficiencies that may be caused/amplified by Lamictal? I AM a picky eater, and was likely already lacking in some important nutrients, so it seems possible that Lamictal turned a problem into a gigantic problem.

Any information anyone could provide would be EXTREMELY helpful!!

- Thanks
