Desipramine vs. Strattera for ADHD

Posted by uncouth on January 2, 2009, at 11:02:03

Hello,

Does anyone know whether desipramine or strattera work better for ADHD? They would be added in combination with an A/D for me. Also, does anyone with experience with either drug also have experience with Focalin? How do they differ in terms of efficacy for ADHD?

I know Focalin/Ritalin/Adderall can be "felt" right away as compared to Strattera and the NRIs. But other than that, in terms of what "knocks out" the ADHD for good and most powerfully, what's the better option? Focalin/Ritalin or a NRI?

Any comments would be appreciated. I'd likely be combining one of these with Pristiq and Abilify.
