My son was on 20mg per day Abilify, didn't take long for me to tell Doc's to get him the he*l off it. It scares me to think they'd probably be fine to watch him be a docile sweet paronoid child instead of some discomfort on our parts. Same happened with Risperdal. This from a well known facility. I found another psychiatrist (no bedside manner, who cares) and asked for the least mind-numbing anti/psych. We ended up with Seroquel 300mg day. He's a rapid cycler Bi-polar I, episodes were coming every 3 weeks for nine months until the Seroquel. Below 300mg he's headed for mania but havent had episode since last January, knock on wood. Thats all. Hope you are well. Goodnight.
