at least, according to some internet pharmacies, where it seems to hover around $1 a pill. i don't know how much this represents reality for someone looking for safe, reliable drugs. i am not up on that state of affairs, the internet, how much i can find out anymore by googling, etc.
indeed, when looking at the Ontario Drug Benefit web "e-formulary" (prov. public gov't plan), which i would expect would try a bit better for its own finanical well being, to lower the covered amount/price in response to lowering generic costs of drugs when they are known to be as high as ondansetron was or still is. it still thinks they are at least $5-6 a pill (and over), but that's just the internet formulary maybe it doesn't update as quickly as what the pharmacies have access to.

in any case, i think ondansetron was being seriously looked at by some of us before, including myself, but my memory is the usual garbage. anyway, so if it has dropped in price, and somehow few people know, it may be time to look at it. this drug appears to be very unique.
may be the true mechanism* behind what we figured was purely (anti-)glutamatergic modulation of dopaminergic sensitivity and tolerance. (may be.)
note that it may not just be 5-ht3 antagonism that is important, but subtypes of the receptors, as i think was discussed here before. from what i remember skimming "articles", not all 5ht-3 antagonists have the same shown potential promise when reseached.
