Hi Phillipa,

First, in your previous post, you asked about other posts. I'm not patrolling the boards for copyright issues. I was just adding to what yxibow said about posting excerpts vs. full text.

> GG what about all the articles on the internet? These are from there too. As you don't have to have a license to view them just can't get credit from them and webmd same thing the one my internist uses?

It's true that one can view articles on WebMD and Mescape without paying, but I think you do have to register. Also, you're viewing copyrighted material on their site. Taking it off the site and posting it elsewhere without permission can be a violation of the copyright.

> I really am confused. Well I won't post links so there will be no problem.

Sorry to confuse. I really just wanted to piggy back onto jay's post. Just curious, why won't you post links? That's a very easy way to direct folks to information you find interesting.

> I'll just stick to my one liners easier that way with always and I feel attached to it or in my experience.

I don't have a problem with your posts, Phillipa. I was only providing information that could be relevant to jay's post.

> But it was my experience that patients were admitted with one diagnosis and it was most often than not changed. And They would come in on one med and leave on lots more.

Well, I haven't read the article, but I would gather that if someone were ill enough to be admitted to the hospital, then it seems reasonable that there might be more going on than their chronic conditions. Or something may have changed in their treatment or condition that would warrant a change in diagnosis or treatment. But I'm just speculating. I imagine that it can make things more confusing for the patient, especially if changes and the reasons for them aren't communicated clearly and directly.

> But that is my experience only the copyright thing wasn't a problem either when I did malpractice. I was told by the lawyers to gather all info and maybe change one word and then it's not the same. So I can also do that right?

I don't know the picayne details of copyright law, but personally, I'd feel like I were going against at least the spirit of the law if I did that. But this is a different context, a different year, and so on. And again, I'm only providing information as it relates to jay's suggestions. I'm not trying to comment on your posting style or habits or tell you what you should or should not do.
