Are you taking the Seroquel for augmentation for depression or sleep? Because that's way too high a dose for sleep, that's into the neuroleptic range. Normally sleep usage would be 25-50ish at most.

As for "when does it get out of your system", that depends -- it has a half life of 6 hours so you can expect that after about 30 [a half life is considered over after 5 times, an statistical approximation] (a day basically it is gone).

As for the stupor effect period after wakeup, it probably lasts 1-4 hours for most people I would imagine.

But then there's the blood level, which, even, at 25 or 50mg will build up a little bit, but not noticeably. At 200mg it will certainly build up and cover an entire day regardless of its half life. That's why its dosed one nightly at that dose.

So the answer there, is "blunting", the effect from neuroleptics for some, a down cut in affect, will not go away at 200mg, unless it goes away over time. And for some it will continue to stay and possibly get a bit worse over time.

It's not necessarily a question of how strong, but how harsh -- earlier SSRIs brushed across more transmitters than necessary and thus caused more side effects like nausea and other things.

Prozac was the first, introduced in the US that is, Luvox was the second here, but the first successful (potentially non lethal) one introduced in parts of Europe.

Prozac is probably the most activating for most people, but some patients request it. It has one of the longest half lives of common psychotropics -- days.

Paxil is good for panic and GAD -- like Luvox the two of them are probably the most sleepiest for some, perhaps a plus if that is desirable Paxil is somewhat weight gain positive, but that varies of course.

Celexa/Lexapro are supposedly the most "clean" agents being more modern.
