Depression after a happy year on Effexor

After a whole happy year on Effexor (75mg a day), I found myself in a new bound of depression about a week ago. Nothing too serious, but I'm not as well as I was before. My questions are: 1) Is it normal, so all I have to do is keep up with the medication as is? 2) Should I suggest to my p-doc a dosage increase, or 3) a complete change of medicines?
