This is an interesting question. I was on Lexapro for about a year and a half (I've been off it for about 2 months). I never felt dopey but I definitely felt like I had trouble concentrating, finding the right words and expressing myself.

I also have insomnia and sleep apnea, and I attributed the above to being overtired; I never attributed it to the Lexapro. I don't really have an answer for you, but your post really gave me something to think about. Now that I'm off Lexapro, it will be interesting to see if these things go away. I would also be interested in whether other people have had this experience with Lexapro.
