I had this same issue when trying to get off of Effexor XR. I tried weening off of it by opening the capsule and taking fewer and fewer of the granules inside, but to no avail. I was couch-ridden when the prescription ran out.

I didn't actually connect what the cause was at the time-- another doctor told me I had allergies.. thanks.

Anyway, a friend suggested something that sounded crazy, but it sorted me out. I just had to take a single dose of Celexa and I was up and around in about twenty minutes and the symptoms did not return. Someone else mentioned Prozac. I would venture it might work with any other "traditional" SSRI.
