Now, whether you say that's psychosis, I'm not really clear. I think its fairly neutral but I don't want to be ad hominem, I have to say that since you have a schizophreniform disorder or something causing a continual psychosis if not treated, there may be a higher risk. This I cannot say. You would have to start at 5mg and see if it does anything wrong -- and remember, you have other side effects going on.
I'm curious why you want to add memantine to an already chemical soup of things.
I'm also surprised at the management and care of you -- I really don't know, I'm not on the scene at the hospital, but it just seems to me, and this is merely an opinion, that either you feel there are side effects occurring and decide not to have a trial or they're going way rapidly through the list (which is in the dozens if you count typical) of antipsychotics.
I really wish you the best -- I hesitate to say this, but when you have a psychosis sometimes its really hard to evaluate yourself until it is put under management, and maybe (not accusatory) you don't like the side effects or the doctors are observing things and too rapidly stopping, and you don't get the full benefit of being able to process thoughts more clearly. This has nothing to do with your intelligence, its just what is gripping you and we all feel for you.
