Just an opinion, but I think you are going to need a combination, not a single agent. AP+AD perhaps. Or, AP+AP. Combinations work a lot different than either drug alone. I was reading an article about someone who took Luvox and Zyprexa. The Zyprexa was started first for the psychosis and delusions, but it didn't really work. Luvox was added to it for depression, and then bammo, psychosis and depression were gone. But neither drug alone did much good.

I have followed your posts and have begun to wonder if this is a norepinephrine thing instead of a dopamine thing? I mean, you've been on anti-serotonin and anti-dopamine meds of all kinds. I've had near psychosis before, and in my case it was clearly linked to excess norepinephrine. When I stopped the med I was taking that was doing it, the psychosis went away. In your case, maybe there is too much NE activity for some reason. Most APs actually stimulate more NE instead of blocking it, thus not fixing your problem and sometimes making it worse? I wonder if a simple test of something ridiculous like Propranolol or some NE blocker might be worth a try. I mean, if this hypothesis were correct, a NE blocker of some kind should work within 48 hours, maybe even in just a few hours. I also can't help but wonder if a benzo should be in the mix? I mean, psychosis is basically something overamped, right? Benzos pretty much un-overamp just about everything most of the time.

Other than that, I think maybe combinations are going to have to be considered.
