When you feel that, check your posture. Are you leaning forward or back, hunched over, or in some other way not centered over your abdomen and spine? One of the smartest things a therapist taught me was to do this. When I'm not centered, I can't take full breaths, and so I don't feel right. It's worth a shot. Doesn't cost anything, is non-invasive, no real side effects I know of. Just check your posture, center yourself over your belly, spine, and rear end, and take several slow, deep breaths. Work towards staying centered as much as possible so that you get the fullest benefits from your breathing.
