Yes. You are right. I left a question mark after the term because I didn't feel it was the best match as a synonym.
In my case, though, I would call my pattern of 3-day responses to antidepressant monotherapy as being tachyphylactic. "Tolerance" sounds appropriate, all things considered. Still, there is something about the term "poop-out" that hits the target.
