> If you Google tianeptine, tianepine (my fault, since I misspelled it for a long time), or Stablon, PsychoBabble comes up on the first or second page. That probably has a lot to do with the perceived change in popularity -- once someone here posts about a medication, someone else googles it and comes across Babble, and then adds to the discussion. That's happened here with other medications, too, over the years.
---I agree. It's a factor. I'm often conscious of this Google PBabble Page ranking / Cache thing when I post on babble and so when I think a thread/post could be good for someone googling about the thread/post subject in the future I leave some keywords in the post. Or I already posted knowing 99.99% of the people on PBabble wouldn't care about the subject of the post but that it could interest some googler in the future. An exemple of this is my post about the history of Tianeptine and why it wasn't in the US. It took me many hours of research before getting answers about that matter.. and I decided to resume the fruits of my research into a post so others could find more easily answers. Googling "History of Tianeptine" brings my post in #1 position. Seems like google keeps Dr-bob.org in 'high esteem'.
So I guess I too contributed it to the google effect you described. Maybe it's time we call Serviers Vice-President of marketting and ask for our share of the pie. ;)
