I guess the first thing to ask is, "do I feel the same on Wellbutrin as I did before I took, do I feel better but not good enough, or do I feel worse than before I took it?"`If the answer is same or worse, you gotta get off it. No sense in adding another med to a dud, and maybe the dud gets in the way of the other med working good.
Suggestions on antidepressants. I don't know. Years ago there were rare random reports of folks ordering good antidepressants popular in other parts of the world, but these days it seems more common and accepted as a rationale alternative to the limited universe the FDA gives us. In that regard, Milnacipran or Stablon.
You might need a xanax or klonopin maybe to go with something if there is rapid cycling? Do you have a lot of anxiety? I know all the focus is on antidepressants for that, but gee, look at places like revolution health for ratings of meds and it's amazing how many score a 10 for xanax after going through misery on antidepressants for years on end.
The bipolar component? Lamictal? Maybe an abilify/lamictal, or zyprexa/lamictal, or something like that, without any antidepressant at all? A tiny dose of benzo on as-needed little-as-possible basis?
Other than the two popular overseas meds I mentioned, I don't know of any FDA meds that meet your criteria. Keeping in mind mileage varies, these three substances do have the power to match or beat pharmaceuticals.
