Librium was the first benzodiazepine discovered in the 1950s (chlordiazepoxide).
Valium (diazepam) came in 1963 - a family favourite. Likely what the Rolling Stones sang about in their song "Mother's Little Helper"
Mogadon = Nitrazepam, another stronger benzo mainly for insomnia. When I told my sleep doc I was taking them he said "You might as well be taking a general anaesthetic..!" Hence not recommended for "quality sleep"... :)
