Some changes induced by a drug (or herbal or other bioactive preparation) may be permanent, or very long-lasting. I had such effects from reboxetine (it gave me a more carefree attitude to everything).
A theoretical solution might be some time of tryptophan deprivation in order to deplete serotonin, and then allowing the brain some time to adapt to the condition. This would be expected to worsen symptoms initially, but once you resume normal tryptophan intake, restoring serotonin levels to normal, you may find the anxiety abolished or diminished. (I'm not sure how to do this in practice.)
