> I have been on 400mg/day of provigil for the last year or so, it has greatly improved my depression, energy and moods. I am concerned because I know there were a number of days I took 600mg instead of the 400mg. I am wanting to taper off to 200mg/day but am worried that I might experience some serious side effects primarly depression etc. Does anyone have any advice with respect to this situation. I am most thankful. Bobby

If I skip a day or 2 due to the price so I can make it last longer, I don't have any withdrawal symptoms. I just get my old excessive daytime sleepiness come back. My sister told me I became very distant and grumpy, which I personally didn't notice.

Aside from feeling more tired again, there was no actual withdrawal symptoms compared to other drugs I have taken in the past. Like SSRI's for example, I'd get very sick, very quickly.
