Antipsychotics cause pain but I need one » undopaminergic

Stelazine and Abilify help with my mood but also are the cause of my pain. When I stop one or the other, the pain is gone within a few days. I don't how they cause it. My theory is that they effect my muscles so they don't work together quite properly. A knee I had surgery on several years ago (part of the cartlidge cushion was removed) is the one that hurts for the most part. (FYI: I was on abilify when that injury happened.)

I focus on these two meds because all the other anti-psychotics (regardless of how small the dose) are way too sedating and/or give me akathisia. I'm trying to get one of them to work. To do so, I need to get rid of the side-effects which.... somehow stiffen my legs and feet and keep me awake with pulsating painful knees. No OTC meds help the pain. (Heat helps but I'd rather prevent the problem in the first place)

Thanks. R.
