If you have a stand alone Anxiety Disorder without comorbid disorders as the cause of all emotional distress, intense therapy and the monitored and careful use of an anti-anxiety agent might be just the tickets to emotional wellness and stability.I did the above for for quite some time - intense, I mean INTENSE CBT and a benzo alone. The unfortunate part was my fixed belief I had JUST an Anxiety Disorder. I was wrong. The problem with a fixed belief is their very definition - being fixed and unyielding to questioning.
That was my situation, your's, of course, could certainly be completely different. I do caution that if you're hanging your emotional wellness hat on IF you could JUST get your anxiety treated and controlled you'll be feeling contented and functioning great, to question once control of those symptoms is achieved, are you feeling contented and functioning great?
