I was on zyprexa a long time. I found 5mg to be the dose that had strong anti-anxiety. When I was on 2.5mg it didn't have much anti-anxiety and actually seemed to create some instead.

For me it would take 2 hours to kick in after a dose. I could take a dose, look at the clock, and predict with accuracy within minutes of when that wash of calm would come over me. In some clinical studies it took a week to ten days. At the right dose there should be some immediate effects, but more therapeutic effects should occur as time goes on.
