Hi,
I've been on Nardil(90mg) for most of eleven years. I occasionally get the kind of pain you describe. When I do, I usually lie down and take my blood pressure. It will usually be slightly elevated. Not like a true hypertensive crisis, but enough to make me feel bad. These reactions do not follow ingestion of any foods so that is not the cause. When I had a trial of Parnate I had a full fledged hypertensive event with no reason. I had to stop the trial of Parnate.

After lying down for a few minutes the pain and general malaise feeling goes away. I've probably had about seven or eight of these episodes in my lifetime. I honestly don't know what causes it. I have not seen the spontaneous hypertensive event documented with Nardil.

You might ask your doctor, but you have not been on Nardil long enough to get the full effect. Get a blood pressure monitor. I would hate to see you stop a trial of a medication that will probably work, because of a side effect.
Good luck,
Jedi
