In fact, I was worried that people would feel put down by the posters statement that I was responding to, but in retrospect, I can see that what I said could be taken as an accusation. But I certainly don't want that poster to feel put down by my post.
Let me try to rephrase the sentence in question in a different way. What I should have written was:
"I worry that by saying that nobody needs ECT, it might make people who have been helped by ECT, or who have nothing else to try but ECT feel bad about their decision."
10derHeart, is that better?
