I would strongly recommend breaking the adderall into smaller pieces. Many many Doc's do not realize the effect initiating new meds can have. With stimulants, you have the real potential to crash and fly and feel all out of sorts if you're not careful with the dosing. The stimulant is suppose to help not make you flaked out.
After like 6 years or more of taking Adderall I still do not take the full prescribed dosage at one time. I still break my 20mg pills down into fourths and refuse to take anything larger than 5 mg's at one time. I refuse to go around having my moods swinging all over the place.
When I started on Adderall, I did take it as prescribed, and it was absolute hell. I seriously thought I would lose my mind (this was back in 2000 or so) and die from the experience. Initiate slow and low, especially with stimulants, the positive effects from them can be gained with small amounts.
And for pure Depression fighting power, I don't believe Adderall will do the job all by it's lonesome. Just my personal opinion.
