So you don't know how the Remeron would work by itself since you were on a combo of medications.
Remeron dose ranges from 15-45 for usual dosing. You perhaps could try this again alone and see what happens.
I have noticed that many of the med combinations I have taken do not give me a good idea of how any of the meds would work on their own.
I failed Marplan but I went back to my notes and saw I was on several other medications with it. In order to know whether it would really work again I would have to take it by itself.
Perhaps remeron would work for you alone, or perhaps just with the Valium, you have taken for so long, since I don't think you can come off of that without a real desire to do so and a plan to wean off it. But you really haven't given Remeron a good trial since you only took 15 mg and the other meds you took it with might have prevented it from working. There were too many ingredients in that recipe to know what was doing what.
They call that a shot gun approach. No real theory behind it, just using alot of meds to try and get any response.
