Seroquel for severe Anxiety Question

My pdoc wants me to try Seroquel 6.25-12.5mg to see if it helps with my anxiety. I know this is a very low dose. He wants me to take it as needed. Has anyone ever heard of this and if so, will I feel anything significant at this dose.
