i am wondering if allergies can be a problem for mental state? and on *cognition*, *fatigue*, *mood*. particularly since they seem to shoot histamine around, any other neurotransmitters involved?
i am particularly concerned about this, as i have been having terrible nights, both with allergy symptoms and emotionally. it is not like the course of a cold, it is off and on, and seemingly in sync with things like my cat sleeping on my pillow when i sleep. i wake up with my eyes so irritated and practically keeping themselves shut, and i wake up to rapid fire sneezing fits that go on and on, and i never really get back to sleep. my mind always takes advantage when i cannot sleep and it gets really awful dealing with.
what would be the best tests to go for to test for allergies, intolerances, or hyperreactivities? i want a full panel of the most serious tests that cover everything or as much as possible. i do not however, believe in anything like "VEGA testing."
my house is full of so many allergens, i hoard severely, and i am very incompetent with self-care and hygeine and struggle hugely with this and my living space, there is dust and fur everywhere, even enough of my own hair randomplaces, and now i am starting to get bugs. i try to work on handling this but am never successful, and am mostly listless confused and paralysed all the time to everything. i am hoping maybe, if i do have allergies, i will have better luck handling my place and fixing it, if i found a way to attenuate the allergens in the flowing air a bit, or used a mask... or something.
if i were allergic to my cats i would consider anything. my cats are my life. expensive air filters. masks or goggles. taking medication/shots...
anyway, i guess the important question again is, where do i start with getting the most complete and reliable tests? what are they?
